After 23 years of teaching, I decided it was time to move on in December of 2023.  Not ready to retire, I enrolled in an online real estate training course @aceableagent.

Self-discipline is hard.

Procrastination is easy.

It was July 4th when I realized the 60-hour course I signed up for had become last on my to-do list and school was about to start. I spent useless hours recreating my resume, scrolling Linkedin, and thinking about being a stock person at Amazon. The teacher in me still associated summer ending with time to get busy doing all the things you hoped to do with your "free" time. I knuckled down on the real estate training. It seemed surreal that my friends were getting their classrooms ready and I was taking practice tests for a different career.  I signed up to take the exam on August 10th - and passed on the first try.
